We are committed to providing high-quality, professional services for everyone. Our licensed, experienced hairstylists work with all hair types and textures, ensuring every client receives exceptional care, healthy hair, and a style they truly love.

Yolande
Founder & Master Stylist

Yolande is a powerhouse in the world of cosmetology and textured hair, one of the first Red Seal Cosmetologists endorsed by the Skilled Trades BC Since opening Who Dyd Your Hair in 2009, she has become a trailblazer in multicultural hair on Vancouver Island.

Her expertise reaches far beyond the salon. As an educator for McBride Research Laboratories in the Northwest Region, she has taught extensively across Canada and the U.S., sharing her knowledge in braiding, textured-hair techniques, and natural hair care. Yolande is Joico-certified and has served as a Judge for Skills Canada and various hair competitions for over a decade.

Her passion for celebrating curly and textured hair shines through her work at festivals, community events, and hair shows. With a global clientele and an unmatched dedication to healthy, expressive hair, Yolande welcomes every texture – from curly to straight – and ensures every guest feels seen, cared for, and celebrated.

Brittney
Senior Stylist

Brittney became a certified hairstylist through Skilled Trades BC. in 2016 and has been part of the WDYH family since 2014, where she began as an eager apprentice. Over the years, she has mastered braiding, weaving, extensions, and a wide range of textured-hair techniques.

With her Joico colour certification and her passion for all hair textures, Brittney is committed to creating styles that feel as good as they look.

Her goal is to exceed your hair and scalp needs, bringing your vision to life with care, creativity, and expertise.

Every appointment with Brittney is personalized, and focused on helping you feel your best.

Susan
Loc Specialist & Stylist

Susan has been a vibrant force in the hairstyling world since 2009. She spent eight years refining her craft at The Dreadquarters salon in Vancouver, specializing in locs and loc extensions. In 2021, she brought her talent to Vancouver Island and soon joined the WDYH team.

Susan’s passion shines in her dedication to every texture—straight, wavy, curly, or coily—ensuring each client leaves feeling radiant and confident.

Outside the salon, she expresses her creativity through art, and creates stunning handcrafted glass beads for locs, adding a unique and personal touch to her clients’ styles.

Raja-Lynn
Hairstylist

Raja has been part of the WDYH family since 2016, beginning her journey as an apprentice through Skills Trade BC. Over the years, she has developed a strong creative voice, bringing bold vision and technical skill to every style she creates.

Known for her standout work in hair shows and photoshoots, Raja specializes in curly haircuts, cornrows, and creative styling. Her eye for detail and passion for textured hair allow her to craft looks that are both expressive and wearable—leaving every client feeling confident and inspired.
